Family Fall Festival
Friday, October 24, 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., FRC
Everyone is invited to Dawson’s Family Fall Festival! Bring your family and friends to this fantastic fall tradition. Activities will be held in the Family Recreation Center, in parking lots, and on Dawson’s front lawn. Enjoy games, prizes, candy, balloons, and tons of fun for the whole family.

Fitness Center
For Prospective Fitness Center Members:
Attend one of four orientation sessions to join:
Monday @ 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday @ 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday @ 5:15 p.m.
Thursday @ 9:30 a.m.
Show up at scheduled time and plan to stay up to 30 minutes.
*Orientation is required before using the fitness center.
You do not have to be a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church to become a fitness center member
Membership Fees:
Non-church members:
Individual, $25.00/month or $250.00/year
Family, $35.00/month or $350.00/year
*Must be in the 9th grade or older to use the fitness area.
FITNESS CLASSES
Aerobics:
Cost: $3.00/class or $30.00 for 15 classes, no expiration date.
*We offer kick-boxing, step, circuit, dance fitness & Turning Point (cycling) classes.
Fitness Center Schedule
Copies of the monthly aerobics schedule are also available in the Family Recreation Center. If you would like to be notified of class changes or cancellations, send your name and email address to us.
Childcare:
Monday - Thursday 8:30 - 11 a.m.
Cost: $2.00 per session* for one child or $3 maximum for 2 or more children.
*(One session is a 2 hour period.)
*$25.00 per month, unlimited, with purchase of a childcare card.
Do you need a Personal Trainer?
The Family Recreation Center offers personal trainers at an additional cost. Call Nancey Legg, Fitness Director at 205-879.1758 or email nancey.legg@dawsonchurch.org for more details.

Men’s Fall Basketball League 2008
Pick up a registration form at Dawson Family Recreation Center
-register as a team to play with friends, co-workers, or neighbors
-registration fee: $350/team or $45/individual
-registration deadline: Sunday, August 24th
-hand deliver or mail your completed form and payment to the Family Recreation Center front desk
-league play begins Tuesday, September 2nd

Basketball for Children and Youth
Upward Basketball
Girls and boys in Kindergarten through 5th grade are excited for the new season. Cost for basketball is $60, and the cost for cheerleading is $65. Pick up registration forms in the Family Recreation Center or at information racks throughout the church.

Youth Basketball League
Girls and boys in 6th through 12th grade are signing up for Youth League Basketball. The cost is $350 for a team and $45 for an individual. Pick up registration forms in the Family Recreation Center.

Dawson Ballet
2008-2009 Season
Registration is now open for the 2008-2009 season and brochures are available in the Recreation Center.
(Classes are for 3 year olds through high school; all students must be of age or grade by September 1, 2008.)
A non-refundable registration fee of $10.00 is due to register. Please call or email for class times and openings.
Total cost per semester is $100 ($75 for tuition and $25 for costume fee)

Dawson Gymnastics
The Recreation Ministry has partnered with the Christian Gymnastics and Cheerleading Academy to offer these gymnastics classes for children age 2 through the sixth grade..
