Fitness Center
For Prospective Fitness Center Members:
Attend one of four orientation sessions to join:
Monday @ 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday @ 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday @ 5:15 p.m.
Thursday @ 9:30 a.m.
Show up at scheduled time and plan to stay up to 30 minutes.
*Orientation is required before using the fitness center.
You do not have to be a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church to become a fitness center member
Membership Fees:
Non-church members:
Individual, $25.00/month or $250.00/year
Family, $35.00/month or $350.00/year
*Must be in the 9th grade or older to use the fitness area.
FITNESS CLASSES
Aerobics:
Cost: $3.00/class or $30.00 for 15 classes, no expiration date.
*We offer kick-boxing, step, circuit, dance fitness & Turning Point (cycling) classes.

Copies of the monthly aerobics schedule are also available in the Family Recreation Center. If you would like to be notified of class changes or cancellations, send your name and email address to us.
Childcare:
Monday - Thursday 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Cost: $3.00 per session* for one child or $4 maximum for 2 or more children.
*(One session is a 2 hour period.)
*$35.00 per month, unlimited, with purchase of a childcare card.
Do you need a Personal Trainer?
The Family Recreation Center offers personal trainers at an additional cost. Call Nancey Legg, Fitness Director at 205-879.1758 or email nancey.legg@dawsonchurch.org for more details.

Dawson Ballet
Registration is now open for the 2010-2011 season

Spring Performance will take place on May 7, 2011

1st graders - Mondays 4:30

Tuition:
One day a week - $90 per semester
Two days a week 4th grade and up (includes pre-pointe and beginning pointe) - $170 per semester
Three days a week (includes pre-pointe and beginning pointe) - $250 per semester
A $12 non-refundable registration fee is due upon receipt of registration form
A $30 costume deposit is due with the September payment. The balance of $30 is due with the January payment.
Tuition is due the first class of September and January.
Dawson Gymnastics
The Recreation Ministry has partnered with the Christian Gymnastics and Cheerleading Academy to offer these gymnastics classes for children age 2 through the sixth grade. Registration is open now for the Fall.

Art From the Heart
Every other Thursday
Family Recreation Center Craft Room
6:00-8:00 p.m.
Come and have fun painting along with Amy Brown. Bring your friends and enjoy time together. At the end of the night you will have a painting to take home with you after working to complete it step by step. We will laugh and enjoy fellowship as we all experience the joy of being creative.
All the supplies are provided including a canvas to paint so that you will be ready to hang your painting when you get home.
Space is limited. The total cost is $25/session which includes, canvas, paint, instruction, everything! See the upcoming painting on display in the lobby of the Family Recreation Center.
