Preschool Sunday School
Offered at 8:30 a.m. and 9:40 a.m., Preschool Sunday School is for infants through children six years of age. Children learn Bible stories and scripture in small groups, while engaging in hands-on learning activities. For safety precautions, all preschoolers are checked in through the Preschool Welcome Desk, First Floor East.

Preschool Sunday School is structured to build a biblical foundation in the lives of young children. The department is divided into three age divisions:
A - Babies and Ones
B - Twos and Threes
C - Fours and Fives

Visitors can call for class information or check in at the nursery desk.

Excel Hour
Offered every Sunday during 11:00 a.m. worship, “Excel Hour” is for preschool children, infants through age three.

Lil’ K
Offered every Sunday during 11:00 a.m. worship, “Lil’ K” is for children ages four and five. Preschoolers participate in an interactive media program called “Lil K”.  The children sing, learn scripture, hear Bible stories, and participate in “conversation stations.”

QUEST is designed to provide engaging, Bible-based, age appropriate lessons & activities for preschoolers that instill a love for worshiping God & serving others in Jesus’ name through music & missions education.

KidLife Week is June 7-11, 2010
(for children 4 years old by Sept. 1, 2010–6th Grade)
It includes many features of Vacation Bible School with lots of Dawson extras.  Online registration is available beginning in May 2010.

Sunday and Wednesday Evenings
Childcare is available for infants through kindergarten during any churchwide worship experience, as well as most Sunday evenings, 5:00-7:00 p.m.and Wednesday nights 6:00-7:30 p.m. (Children two years of age and younger.)

Recreation Childcare
Too busy with children to workout? Childcare is available, Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., for those using the Family Recreation Center. Please pay a small fee at the Family Recreation Center.

Some events may require childcare reservations in advance. Those instances will be publicized specifically.

Preschool Playdays and Family Nights
Dawson’s Parents of preschoolers meet for an occasional outing so that their children may interact with other Dawson families.

Cradle Care
Expecting a new addition to your family? Know someone who is?  “Cradle Care” is a ministry for expectant parents. The Cradle Care Ministry will assign a caregiver to the expectant parents to pray for the parents during the pregnancy. Expectant parents are posted on a bulletin board in the East Atrium. A blue/pink bow is posted when the baby arrives. Caregivers help relay information to the church when the baby is born, develop relationships with parents, help parents get introduced to the Preschool Ministry, and assist with the Family Dedication. The Cradle Care Committee meets monthly to pray for those who are expecting new additions to their families.
To enroll yourself or someone you know in the Cradle Care Ministry, provide the parents’ names and month due to Brooke Gibson at 871-7324 or brooke.gibson@dawsonchurch.org.
