Join the Choir in 2010!

Dawson’s Sanctuary Choir experienced phenomenal growth this past fall as new members joined to participate in Christmas presentations. Many have chosen to continue in January as the choir prepares for new special opportunities of ministry. Now is a wonderful time to join!

Choir rehearsals on Wednesday nights are far more than musical preparation. The choir members experience authentic worship as they work and fellowship together with their brothers and sisters in Christ. You will enjoy rehearsing with fellow members as the Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra prepares special music for Palm Sunday (March 28) and Easter Sunday (April 4). The music will center on the cross and resurrection.

Join us for rehearsals on Wednesdays, at 6:15 p.m. No audition is necessary. Enriching experiences for children are provided during rehearsals through the Quest Music and Missions program and through “After Quest” activities for children of choir members.

Choir to Sing for Baptist World Congress

The Dawson Sanctuary Choir has been invited to be a featured choir for the 20th Annual Baptist World Congress in Honolulu, Hawaii. The event will take place July 28-August 1, 2010.

The Baptist World Alliance is a fellowship of 214 Baptist conventions and unions from around the world comprising a membership of more than 37 million baptized believers and a Baptist community of more than 105 million. Every five years, Baptists of the world gather for a Baptist World Congress. The event is a foretaste of heaven as Baptists from different tribes and nations praise God together in their heart languages. It is a time of learning and sharing, a time that causes one to see the world through different eyes.

Dawson’s Sanctuary Choir has been invited to participate as a featured choir for the event and to perform and do mission projects in other venues, as well. Please pray for Dawson’s choir members as they pray and make preparations to go on this unprecedented mission opportunity to encourage our Christian brothers and sisters from around the world.
